Patterns, fins and Endlers

Guppy strain finder

Guppy names mix a pattern, a colour and sometimes a fin shape, so a Platinum Red Mosaic Big Ear tells you four things at once. Pick a pattern below, or filter by males, females or pairs, and each card takes you to that fish's own page.

The photos show what each variety looks like. Every fish is an individual, so colour and fins vary from fish to fish, and a breeder’s name describes the look rather than proving a pedigree.

Endler guppies

Endler’s livebearer (Poecilia wingei) is a separate, very colourful species from the fancy guppy. El Tigre is named after the Venezuelan stream where its fish were collected. Many Endlers sold in shops are crosses with guppies, and Japan Blue began as one.
