Neon Blue Acara is an electric-blue aquarium trade form supplied as Andinoacara pulcher 'Neon Blue'. It was originally imported and sold under names such as “Nannacara Neon Blue”, but specialist ornamental-fish sources note that it is not a true Nannacara. The exact breeding lineage is not certified with this stock. One quantity buys one unsexed fish dispatched at approximately 4–6 cm.

The photograph is representative; colour intensity, markings and fin shape can vary with age, condition and aquarium lighting.

This distinction matters for care: it is a Blue Acara-type cichlid, not a tiny Apistogramma-style dwarf. Aquarium Glaser reports the Neon Blue form usually around 10 cm, while FishBase records the parent species A. pulcher to 16 cm total length. Plan the aquarium conservatively around adult cichlid space rather than the juvenile trade name.

Aquarium setup
