Before you choose from this collection

Compare molly colours, body forms and supplied sizes. Common and sailfin species have different adult needs, and a domestic colour name alone does not establish ancestry. Check the identity and sale unit on the exact listing you choose.

Mollies need a mature aquarium with suitable measured water, swimming space and a plan for their social group. Do not assume all UK tap water suits them, or that every sailfin fits the same tank. Our care guide explains how to plan for smaller mollies, sailfins and possible fry.

Frequently asked questions

Compare the current price for the selected form and size. Check whether each offer supplies one fish, a pair or a group, then budget for a suitable stocking plan and equipment.
Many aquarium mollies can be kept in suitable hard freshwater; adding salt is not a substitute for correct hardness or good water quality. Check the exact fish and its current holding conditions, and do not change salinity without an appropriate plan.
Adult size depends on the species and domestic form. Sailfins may need substantially more room than smaller mollies. Use the identity and adult-size guidance in our care guide, not the supplied juvenile size, to plan the tank.
Offer an appropriate complete food with a vegetable component and measured variety. Natural grazing does not replace feeding. Give every fish access to suitable food and remove leftovers rather than relying on algae alone.
The shortened body is a selectively bred form, not a separate species. Consider its shape and welfare when choosing; we cannot promise that all balloon forms have the same health, lifespan or care needs. Our molly care guide explains the evidence and its limits.
Sometimes, where their measured water, temperature, adult space and behaviour are compatible. The family name is not enough: check the exact fish, feeding access and room for possible fry before mixing them.
Mollies are livebearers: females give birth to free-swimming young. Plan capacity before mixing sexes. Previously mated females may produce later broods, so buying only females does not guarantee a fry-free aquarium.
