Red Alenquer Discus is a domestic discus strain best listed at strain level as Symphysodon spp. It is chosen for red body colour and calm display presence, but it needs stable warm water and a mature aquarium rather than a casual community setup.
Use a mature, warm aquarium with soft to moderately soft water, calm tank mates, steady feeding and excellent filtration. Discus dislike sudden swings, so keep maintenance consistent and acclimate slowly.
Keep with peaceful warm-water fish that will not nip fins or outcompete discus at feeding time. Avoid boisterous cichlids, fin nippers, cold-water fish, shrimp and cramped mixed community tanks.
