Blue Snakeskin Discus (Symphysodon spp.)
28–30°C · pH 5.5–7.5 · 300L

Randomly selected juvenile discus for experienced aquarists building a warm, soft-water group. Colour and pattern develop with age, so this assorted mix suits keepers who enjoy raising discus rather than choosing a fixed strain.
Adult size is the maximum length this species reaches at full maturity (scientific sources). The livestock you receive will be younger and smaller — pick a size variant above for the actual shipping size. Photos are AI-enhanced, so the animal may show subtle colour or marking differences.

Assorted Juvenile Discus (Symphysodon mix) is for keepers who want to raise a calm group of discus and enjoy watching colour develop over time. Each fish is selected from an assorted mix rather than a named colour strain, so the final adult pattern is not guaranteed.

Discus are peaceful South American cichlids, but they are not casual beginner fish. Give them a mature aquarium with warm stable water, gentle flow, strong filtration and a quiet layout. A group of six or more is the safest plan where space allows, because discus form a hierarchy and usually settle better when social pressure is spread across the group.
Keep the aquarium warm at 28-32°C, with soft to neutral water and regular maintenance. Avoid sudden changes, heavy current and crowded tank mates. These fish look their best in calm displays with open swimming room, shaded areas and peaceful companions that can live comfortably at discus temperatures.
Young discus do best with several small meals rather than one heavy feed. Use a good discus granule or stick as the staple, then rotate in frozen brine shrimp, bloodworm as an occasional food and other clean, high-quality foods. Remove uneaten food quickly so growth is supported by clean water as well as nutrition.
Good companions include Cardinal Tetras, Rummy Nose Tetras, Corydoras sterbai, Otocinclus and Bristlenose Plecos. Avoid aggressive cichlids, fin nippers, cooler-water fish and boisterous feeders that push discus away from food. Mixed discus colour forms can be kept together when the aquarium is large, mature and stable.
When available, these discus are packed carefully and sent by licensed live-animal courier. Follow the receiving and acclimation instructions to keep the Live Arrival Guarantee valid; eligible first-time customers can use WELCOME10 at checkout.
