Celestial Pearl Danio (Danio margaritatus) is the small spotted fish many aquarists still know as Galaxy Rasbora. It suits mature planted aquariums where a group can move through moss, stems and open pockets without being pushed around by larger fish.
| Scientific name | Danio margaritatus |
|---|---|
| Adult size | 2-2.5 cm |
| Minimum aquarium | 45 litres or larger |
| Temperature | 20-24 C |
| pH | 6.5-7.5 |
| Temperament | Peaceful but shy nano shoaler that needs plants and a group |
| Diet | Micro omnivore; fine flakes, micro pellets, small frozen foods, daphnia and baby brine shrimp |
Use a planted aquarium with gentle flow, fine cover and stable water. The fish is peaceful but shy, so it shows best in a group of 8 or more with other small calm species.
Galaxy Rasbora remains a familiar hobby name, but the public care facts here are standardised to Danio margaritatus.
Feed tiny foods: fine flakes, micro pellets, daphnia, cyclops and baby brine shrimp. They have small mouths, so crush larger foods and avoid fast tank mates that take everything first.
Livestock orders are packed carefully and sent by licensed live-animal courier. The Live Arrival Guarantee applies when the receiving and acclimation instructions are followed.
