Golden Otocinclus (Otocinclus vittatus) is a peaceful social algae-grazing catfish for mature planted aquariums. It should not be treated as a quick fix for a new tank; these fish do best where soft algae, biofilm and stable water are already present.

Keep a group of 6 or more in a settled aquarium with plants, wood, leaves and gentle community tank mates. They graze glass, hardscape and plant leaves, so avoid newly set up tanks with no natural food growth.
