Identify the exact cory catfish before choosing care. Our starting policy for many common medium species is six compatible conspecifics, a mature 60 x 30 cm aquarium of about 60 litres, smooth fine sand and measured species-appropriate water.

Use soft sand or smooth rounded substrate to protect the barbels. Bronze Corydoras do best in a peaceful aquarium with gentle tank mates, open bottom space, shaded areas and regular feeding after lights dim so food reaches the group.
They will pick through the substrate for leftover food, but they still need their own sinking diet. Do not rely on them as a clean-up crew or algae-control fish.
