Linn's Haplochromis (Nimbochromis linni) is a large predatory hap from Lake Malawi. It is often traded under the older Haplochromis name, but the accepted scientific name used here is Nimbochromis linni. This is a specialist cichlid for experienced keepers planning a spacious hard-water Malawi aquarium, not a peaceful community fish.

Plan the aquarium around adult size and behaviour. Use a strong filter, stable hard alkaline water, open swimming space and a rock layout that breaks up sight lines. Juveniles can be grown on carefully, but this species should only be chosen when the long-term adult aquarium is available.
