Blyth's Archerfish is a true freshwater Toxotes species from Myanmar, prized for surface-focused hunting behaviour and an intelligent, alert presence. It is best planned as a specialist display fish rather than a small peaceful community fish.
Provide a spacious covered aquarium with open surface area, clean warm freshwater, strong filtration and secure gaps around equipment. Feed varied insects, frozen foods and quality floating foods to support natural surface feeding.
Keep with robust fish too large to swallow and avoid small fish, fry, shrimp and timid surface dwellers. A secure lid is essential because archerfish live and feed close to the surface.
