Symphysodon Super Red Marlboro

Super Red Marlboro Discus is a domestic aquarium trade form of Symphysodon, in the cichlid family. “Super Red Marlboro” is a colour-form name, not a separately accepted species name or a certificate of breeding lineage. Colour intensity changes with development, condition and lighting; no particular adult pattern is guaranteed.

Published supplier guidance for this exact form gives 26–30°C, pH 5.0–7.0, 0–10 dGH and a 12–15 cm size note. Use these as care-planning guidance, not measured current holding water or an absolute adult-size ceiling. Prepare a mature, well-filtered aquarium with stable water, open swimming room and sheltered areas. Confirm the full group and companions will fit as the fish grow; a retail unit is not a recommendation to keep a social fish alone.
