SKU KJ15 is the 2-2.5 cm size, with larger sibling size options on the same Shopify product. Because the exact taxonomy behind the trade spelling is not confidently resolved, the page keeps the trade name clear and gives conservative ornamental-snail care advice: stable water, mineral availability, careful acclimation and copper-safe tank management.

The attraction is the blue shell colour. Individual snails may vary in depth of colour, shell tone and visible growth rings, but the role in the aquarium is consistent: slow grazing, movement over hardscape and glass, and a useful clean-up presence without adding extra chasing or territorial behaviour.
A blue shell only stays attractive when new shell growth is healthy. Soft acidic water, low minerals, rough handling or unsuitable treatments can leave shells pitted, thin or uneven. Treat this as a living invertebrate with mineral needs, not as a disposable algae tool.
Use a mature aquarium with stable water, gentle to moderate flow and plenty of grazing surfaces. Plants, wood, smooth stones and biofilm-rich areas all help. Avoid sharp decor that can damage the foot or trap the snail, and make sure strong filter intakes are safe for small invertebrates.
Keep pH stable and avoid very soft water. Practical ornamental-snail guidance from established aquarium retailers is consistent on one point: calcium and minerals support shell growth, while copper exposure and unstable conditions are common problems for aquarium snails. If your water is naturally very soft, plan mineral support before adding this snail.
Do not rely only on whatever algae happens to be in the tank. Offer algae wafers, snail or shrimp foods, carefully used blanched courgette or spinach, and a calcium source where needed. Remove uneaten soft vegetables before they foul the water. A snail that is active but losing shell quality is often telling you the water or diet needs attention.
Keep with peaceful community fish, shrimp and other calm snails that will not attack or harass molluscs. Avoid loaches, pufferfish, snail-eating fish, aggressive cichlids and any aquarium where copper medication is being used. Many invertebrates are sensitive to copper-based treatments, so check labels before dosing the tank.
Cover gaps around the lid and cable cut-outs. Some aquarium snails explore above the waterline or around equipment, and a secure lid helps prevent losses. If the snail stops moving for long periods, check water quality, oxygen, temperature and visible shell condition before assuming normal behaviour.
Acclimate slowly, avoid temperature shock and place the snail gently onto a stable surface rather than dropping it. It may remain closed for a while after shipping; give it quiet time, stable water and a small amount of appropriate food once it begins to move.
