Young Siamese Algae Eaters work best as a loose shoal: five juveniles spread across a planted tank and graze algae from leaves, wood and glass, and they squabble far less than a lone pair as they grow.
Siamese Algae Eater is a trade name used across similar Crossocheilus species. This listing uses Crossocheilus cf. langei to avoid overclaiming exact identity while keeping care focused on the true algae-eater group.
Provide a long mature aquarium with clean oxygen-rich water, steady current, stones, wood and established biofilm. It grazes algae but still needs quality prepared foods and vegetable matter.
Best kept with peaceful active community fish of similar size. Avoid slow long-finned fish if competition at feeding time is a problem, and avoid confusing it with more territorial lookalikes.
