Harlequin Sulawesi Shrimp, also traded as Celebes Beauty or Sponge Shrimp, is a specialist Caridina shrimp from the Sulawesi trade. Use conservative expert care: warm alkaline water, mature biofilm and excellent stability.
Use a dedicated mature Sulawesi-style aquarium with warm stable water, high oxygen, mineralised RO water and rock/biofilm surfaces. Do not treat this like a normal Neocaridina shrimp tank.
This shrimp depends heavily on biofilm and fine foods. Offer tiny amounts of powdered shrimp food, spirulina and microorganism-based foods, removing leftovers quickly.
Best kept with other compatible Sulawesi shrimp and Sulawesi snails only. Avoid most fish, cooler-water shrimp and mixed community tanks.
