Chocolate Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi)
18–26°C · pH 6.5–8 · 30L

Neon Tetras are small, peaceful shoaling fish for a mature, planted aquarium at least 60 cm long. Keep a suitable group, provide open horizontal swimming space, and match tank mates to their 20-26°C range.
This listing is for a group of 20 Neon Tetras (Paracheirodon innesi CB, 2 cm) — the same captive-bred fish as our single Neon Tetra listing, supplied together as a ready-made shoal.
Neon Tetras are peaceful schooling fish; a shoal of 20 turns a planted tank into a moving ribbon of blue and red.
The Neon Tetra, Paracheirodon innesi, is the classic small shoaling fish for peaceful planted aquariums. Its bright blue stripe and red lower body give a mature community tank instant movement and colour without adding aggression. This listing is specifically for captive-bred Neon Tetra, Paracheirodon innesi.
Neon Tetras are best kept in groups of 10 or more. A proper shoal helps them feel secure, improves colour, and gives the calm coordinated swimming behaviour people buy them for. They suit peaceful tank mates such as small rasboras, ember tetras, corydoras, otocinclus, dwarf gourami, cherry shrimp in established tanks, and other gentle community fish. Avoid large predatory fish, fin nippers, and boisterous cichlids.
Use a mature aquarium with gentle filtration, steady heating, and plenty of plant cover. Darker substrate, driftwood, floating plants, and shaded areas help Neon Tetras settle and show stronger colour. Leave open midwater swimming space at the front so the group can move naturally as a shoal.
They are small fish, but they still need stability. Avoid adding a full group to a brand new tank. Keep ammonia and nitrite at zero, keep nitrate low with regular water changes, and acclimatise slowly when the fish arrive. A stable planted tank is far more important than chasing an exact pH number.
Your Neon Tetras are packed in oxygenated bags inside an insulated box, with heat packs used when the weather calls for them. We send live fish by tracked UK courier on our weekly live-fish delivery rhythm, and your tracking email confirms the Wednesday or Thursday delivery date so you know when to be home.
We focus on healthy stock, clear care information, careful packing, and support after arrival. If you are building a peaceful community aquarium, Neon Tetras remain one of the most reliable ways to add colour, schooling behaviour, and movement without overwhelming the tank.
