The label visible in the current product photograph identifies Lumbriculus variegatus. U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and NCBI taxonomy records also recognise that scientific name for an aquatic oligochaete worm. Published aquaculture literature describes cultured L. variegatus as a source of live food for aquarium fish.
