Live California blackworms (Lumbriculus variegatus) in PE-bag cases. Choose 50 x 45ml, 25 x 90ml or 15 x 180ml; one quantity is one complete selected case.
Live California blackworms (Lumbriculus variegatus) are supplied in PE-bag cases. The supplier classifies the product under Feed for Fish > Live Food. Three case configurations are available.
One quantity means one complete case in the selected configuration.
| Option | Contents of one case | Combined labelled bag volume |
|---|---|---|
| 50 x 45ml | 50 PE bags, each labelled 45ml | 2,250ml |
| 25 x 90ml | 25 PE bags, each labelled 90ml | 2,250ml |
| 15 x 180ml | 15 PE bags, each labelled 180ml | 2,700ml |
The combined volumes are calculated from the labelled volume and bag count.

The label visible in the current product photograph identifies Lumbriculus variegatus. U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and NCBI taxonomy records also recognise that scientific name for an aquatic oligochaete worm. Published aquaculture literature describes cultured L. variegatus as a source of live food for aquarium fish.
All three options contain the same named live-food product. The practical difference is the size of each bag and the number of bags in the case.
| Configuration | Practical planning point |
|---|---|
| 50 x 45ml | The largest number of separate smaller bags |
| 25 x 90ml | Mid-sized bags; this is the format shown in the gallery |
| 15 x 180ml | Fewer, larger bags |
The option selector controls which complete configuration is added to the basket.
The available product records do not provide a named-fish compatibility list, feeding amount or frequency, marine-fish use, complete-feed declaration, consumer storage temperature or shelf-life.
The gallery shows a labelled 90ml California blackworms PE bag, so it most directly represents the 25 x 90ml case option. It is not a photograph of a complete case or the other two bag sizes.
