Blue Moscow Male Guppy (Poecilia reticulata)
22–28°C · pH 7–8 · 45L
One quantity buys 10 assorted Lyretail Swordtails (Xiphophorus helleri), not one fish. This mixed-colour lyra trade form is listed by the supplier in an approximate 4–5 cm grade; exact length and the colour mix vary. Compare the separate single-fish Lyra Assorted Swordtail listing if you do not need a ten-fish pack.
Swordtails are active livebearers; keeping more females than males helps spread male attention, but this unsexed assortment does not guarantee a sex ratio or breeding group. Ten growing swordtails need substantial swimming length and room for their companions. Plan the whole group, not just the dispatch grade.
The lyretail form has extended fin rays. Individual markings and fin development vary; a reference photograph is not a promise of the ten individual fish received or a certification of their breeding history.
Published supplier guidance for Lyra Assorted Swordtails supports the temperature, pH and size notes below. These are care-planning values, not measurements of the current batch or its shipping water.
| Scientific name | Xiphophorus helleri mixture lyra |
|---|---|
| Care level | easy |
| Temperament | peaceful |
| Diet | Flakes, pellets, frozen foods, algae |
| Tank region | middle |
| Temperature | 23–27°C published supplier guidance |

| Hardness | 12–30 dGH working range within the broader published 5–30 dGH guidance |
| Aquarium planning | The retained 75-litre starting point is not a capacity recommendation for ten adults; allow a larger, long aquarium for the full group and companions |
| Adult size | Published supplier size note: 6–10 cm, not a guarantee of exact adult length or an absolute species ceiling |
Choose a mature, filtered aquarium with generous open swimming space, planted shelter and a secure cover. The retained 75-litre starting point is not enough information to size an aquarium for ten adult swordtails: consider the full group, tank length, filtration and all companions. Use the tropical aquarium setup guide before adding fish. Working water targets are 23–27°C, pH 7.0–8.5 and 12–30 dGH; keep conditions stable, and ammonia and nitrite at zero.
These generally peaceful livebearers use the middle swimming area, but males may chase one another or females. Provide cover and separate fish if harassment persists. Choose companions with compatible water needs and enough space; avoid fin-nippers and fish that could swallow smaller swordtails. A ten-fish pack does not guarantee harmony in an overcrowded aquarium.
Offer varied small portions of quality flakes or pellets, with suitable frozen foods and vegetable or algae-based foods. Watch that every fish can feed, remove leftovers, and maintain filtration and regular partial water changes. More fish mean more waste, so test the aquarium rather than relying on a fixed feeding quantity.
Only introduce the group to a mature aquarium with stable water. Arrange prompt receipt and follow the delivery and Live Arrival Guarantee terms. Acclimate calmly, keep lights low, and avoid heavy feeding on arrival. Watch breathing, posture and appetite; reference care guidance does not establish the transport water’s exact values.
The retail unit here is a ten-fish assortment; check that this is the quantity your aquarium can accommodate. Livestock is packed in oxygenated bags with insulation and heat packs when needed, then sent by tracked UK courier with live arrival support under the current policy.
Confirm that the aquarium can house the full adult group with its companions and that its water suits swordtails. This pack does not promise particular colours, a chosen sex ratio or compatible breeding pairs. If the setup is new, let the filter mature first; if stocking is already dense, choose a smaller quantity through the separate single-fish listing.

What customers say about ordering from us
I have a small group of long finned mountain minnows. So was delighted to be able to order ten of this variety to increase the genetics in my tank . The ones I recieved are healthy but it’s to early to give a verdict on wether they are of a long finned type since they are small currently.
