Harlequin, Lambchop or Glowlight?

Harlequins are Trigonostigma heteromorpha, including the named Gold and Black forms here. Lambchop is T. espei and Glowlight is T. hengeli: similar-looking fish with separate species guidance. A shared black flank marking does not make their care identical. Open the exact offer before comparing size, water and companions; the Harlequin guide below covers heteromorpha.

Read Harlequin Rasbora care
Start with the space for the adult group

Small Boraras need fine foods and calm feeding space; an active Scissortail group needs a much longer aquarium. Scissortails have a published adult record of 15 cm, with a 120 × 45 cm base recommended for the group. Judge swimming length, planted cover and the existing residents together. A small dispatch size does not make a large species suitable for a nano tank.

Compare the smaller Boraras species
Check your water before choosing by colour

Rasbora is a broad shop name, not one water recipe. Neon Greens and Emerald Dwarfs, for example, have different hardness guidance. Measure temperature, pH and general hardness, then read the chosen species' requirements. Filters help narrow the offers; a partial match means some information is missing. Use confirmed matches to exclude those gaps, and ask about any offer whose identity or care remains uncertain. Red Axelrodi follows the supplier’s red trade label; it does not confirm the species Sundadanio axelrodi or rubellus. Ask about the current fish before using either species’ care advice.

Count fish, packs and existing companions separately

One quantity can mean one fish, six fish or ten fish depending on the offer. Read the pack title and selected size before comparing prices. A six-fish pack may add to an established group without being a complete new-group plan. Follow the individual species guidance and allow space for the whole group; fish pictured together do not promise a particular sex ratio or guarantee compatibility.
