What is in Tropical Soft Line Betta?

Tropical’s current specification lists fish and fish products including 14% herring meal, molluscs and crustaceans including 1.7% Calanus meal, vegetable protein extracts, cereals, 5% insect-larvae meal, algae including 1.5% Ascophyllum nodosum, red-pepper extract, fruit, yeast including beta-glucan, oils, fats and mineral feed materials.

The current additive declaration also lists vitamins A, D3, E and C, trace elements and 100mg/kg astaxanthin. Formulas can change, so keep the delivered pack label as the final authority for the batch you receive.

Why use a soft slowly sinking granule?

Bettas often feed in the upper part of the aquarium, but a food does not need to float indefinitely to suit them. A slowly sinking mini-granule remains visible long enough for deliberate feeding while also reducing the tendency of uneaten food to sit at the surface.

Tropical describes its Soft Line granules as highly hydrostable, meaning they retain their form in water and swell only slightly. That can make portion control easier and helps reduce fine food particles escaping into the aquarium compared with a product that breaks apart immediately.

How to feed

Follow Tropical’s direction to offer several small portions through the day. Add only a small amount at a time and watch the fish swallow it before adding more. The correct portion depends on the fish, granule size, body condition, water temperature and any other foods in the routine.

There is no responsible universal number of granules for every Betta. If food reaches the substrate uneaten, reduce the next portion. A fish begging at the glass is not proof that it needs another meal.

Using it with other foods
