Herichthys Cichlids

Both Pearlscale Texas entries are listed as Herichthys carpintis, while Barton’s Cichlid is H. bartoni. Compare the supplied fish and stated size rather than treating the Round label as proof of a different species or a smaller adult. A juvenile size is not a minimum adult housing plan.

Use secure decor and sight breaks with clear swimming space and access to food. Barton’s Cichlid needs room for an adult territory despite its relatively small juvenile sale sizes. Check the chosen species’ water needs and consider how breeding would affect its companions.
