Compare Motaguense and Friedrichstalii’s Cichlids. These predatory cichlids need substantial adult housing; a small supplied fish is only the starting point.
Motaguense is listed as Parachromis motaguensis; Friedrichstalii’s is P. friedrichsthalii. Their names should stay with the fish when comparing growth and care. Friedrichstalii’s grows well beyond small juvenile sale sizes. Choose housing for the adult fish, with floor space and retreats as well as water volume.
Compare American cichlid speciesAssess every companion for both predation risk and territorial conflict. Provide secure decor, clear movement routes and a workable way to separate fish if behaviour changes. A pair or group of young fish does not establish compatibility as adults, particularly during breeding.
