    About Peppered Corydoras (Corydoras paleatus)

    Healthy and doing well

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thanks Tracey. Peppered Corys are the toughest of the group and happy in cooler water than most Corydoras - the one thing worth getting right is sand or smooth rounded gravel, so they can sift with their barbels without wearing them down. Good to hear they're settled. - Tropical Fish Co

About Red Paradise Fish (Macropodus opercularis 'Red')

    Healthy and doing well

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thank you Tracey. The red form is the one that really shows off when a male is displaying - fins spread, colour up, the lot. Worth keeping just the one male unless you've a big tank, as they'll square up to each other. Glad it's doing well. - Tropical Fish Co

About Black Venezuela Corydoras (Corydoras sp. Black Venezuela)

    Healthy and doing fine

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thanks Tracey. Black Venezuela are one of the smarter-looking Corys once they settle - the dark body against an orange fin really comes out when they're confident and in a group. Good to hear they're doing fine. - Tropical Fish Co

    About Koi Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)

    Healthy and doing fine e

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thank you Tracey. Koi Angels are one of the more variable patterns - the black and orange markings shift quite a bit as they grow, so the fish you have at six months often looks noticeably different to the one that arrived. Worth photographing now to compare later. Glad it's doing well. - Tropical Fish Co

About Paradise Fish blue red (Macropodus opercularis blue red)

Healthy and doing well but I only received five out of six paradise i ordered

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thanks Tracey - and thank you for flagging the short count rather than letting it slide. Five out of six isn't right and it's ours to fix: email hello@tropicalfishco.co.uk with your order number or WhatsApp +44 7464 593131, and we'll either refund the missing fish or add it to your next shipment, whichever suits you. Glad the five that did arrive are doing well. - Reza, Tropical Fish Co

    About Barbus tetrazona platinum green

    Healthy and doing well

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thank you Tracey. The platinum green tigers keep that pale metallic look best under decent lighting, and like all tiger barbs they're far better behaved in a group of six or more - in small numbers they turn their attention to other fish's fins. Glad they're doing well. - Tropical Fish Co

    About Marble Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)

Good looking fish but unfortunately died and out of all the fish I wanted so disappointed

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Tracey, I'm sorry - losing the one fish you'd actually set your heart on is the worst version of this, and five stars is generous in the circumstances. Angels are more sensitive to a hard journey than the rest of your order, which is why we back them the same as everything else: email hello@tropicalfishco.co.uk with your order number and we'll sort a replacement or a refund on it. Thank you for still being fair about the others. - Reza, Tropical Fish Co

About Pterophyllum scalare Pinoy green ghost

Very small but healthy and doing well

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thanks Tracey. Pinoy green ghosts do ship small - we'd rather send them young than push size, because they travel far better at that stage and put the growth on once they're settled with good feeding. Healthy and eating at that size is the right start. - Tropical Fish Co

About Supercolour Male Endler Guppy (Poecilia endler)

The stars are for the packaging and pricing. However I ordered Endlers, and messaged the store to see if they where genuine, but was sent hybrids and not pure endlers

    • Photo 1 from Gary Packer's review

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thanks for being fair about the packing and the price Gary, and you're right to push on the rest. Pure Endler versus Endler-guppy hybrid is a real distinction and it matters to anyone keeping a line properly, so if what arrived doesn't match the listing then that's ours to fix rather than argue about. Please send your order number and that photo to hello@tropicalfishco.co.uk and we'll sort it out with you - and we'll go back over how that line is described on the site so the next person isn't caught the same way. - Reza, Tropical Fish Co

About Orange Rainbow Cichlid (Herotilapia multispinosa)

    Healthy fish

    • Photo 1 from M Parker's review

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Glad they arrived healthy. Rainbow cichlids are slow to show what they've got - they colour up properly once they've settled in and claimed a bit of territory, so give them a few weeks before you judge them. If there was something behind the three stars rather than five, we'd genuinely like to hear it: hello@tropicalfishco.co.uk or WhatsApp +44 7464 593131. - Reza, Tropical Fish Co

About Blue Neon Tiger Parrot Cichlid

    Healthy fish nothing lilke pic

    • Photo 1 from M Parker's review

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Thanks for the honest note, and that's fair. Colour on the parrot varieties shifts a lot with age, lighting and how settled the fish is, so they rarely look like a photo on day one - but our listing images should still set an expectation you can hold us to, so we'll take another look at that one. If what arrived isn't the variety you ordered, email hello@tropicalfishco.co.uk with your order number and we'll put it right. - Reza, Tropical Fish Co

    About Hybrid Blood Parrot Cichlid

Health fish nicse colour was told that they wouldnt destroy my planted tank but they have

    • Photo 1 from M Parker's review

    Reply from Tropical Fish Co

Healthy and good colour is good to hear - the planted tank part isn't, and if we told you they'd leave it alone then we gave you the wrong steer. Blood Parrots dig, and they'll uproot anything that isn't anchored down; attached plants like anubias and java fern tied to wood or rock usually survive them, loose-rooted stems almost never do. Happy to go through what would actually work in your setup if that's useful - WhatsApp +44 7464 593131. - Reza, Tropical Fish Co

About Albino Bronze Cory (Osteogaster aenea)

Received my 6 Albino Corydoras Catfish about 2 weeks ago. They arrived well packaged, in a polystyrene box with foil and newspaper protection. The bag containing the fish was full of air and remained in verry good condition. Delivered by Royal mail. One thing you could add to the package alongside the Fragile sticker is a statement of LIVE FISH as I hope that anyone handling the package would take even more care. They have settled in really well, they are a great fish to watch with their constant search for food! They do a great job of eating any food that gets past my Harlequins and male betta (not a lot LOL) and sinks to the bottom. I also feed them Fluval Bug Bites Bottom Feeder Formula which they love. Bloodworm is another welcome addition as a treat once or twice a week. Overall I would recommend this species as they seem hardy, and are very active, even with the light on in the tank. They are even more active with lights out, and any food fed when the lights go out (my normal routine for bottom feeders) is gone by the morning. Great price on the fish. Good condition on arrival. They are growing daily! ***** 5 Stars!
