Copadichromis borleyi is an open-water shoaling cichlid associated with rocky areas. Leave usable swimming space above the cover instead of filling the aquarium with rockwork. Assess the selected species’ adult group, feeding access and water requirements, with retreats for subordinate fish. A calm label does not remove the need to manage breeding males.
Discuss a Copadichromis groupKadango and yellow-fin Borleyi, Azureus and the Virginalis offers retain their separate names. A juvenile grade or colourful photograph does not establish sex or a breeding group. Keep locality and form information clear if breeding matters: mixing similar Copadichromis can produce confusing offspring.
