Labeotropheus trewavasae feeds around rocky surfaces. Provide stable rockwork, well-oxygenated water and usable retreats so subordinate fish can escape persistent attention. A plant-rich complete mbuna food forms a useful staple; grazing surfaces alone do not replace feeding. Assess the selected adult group rather than filling a small tank with caves.
Compare other rock-dwelling mbunaThe Trewavas’ offers and Fuelleborn’s listing remain separate choices. Chilumba, Rosy and Marmalade labels do not establish the same locality, sex or breeding line. Colour forms and related species can hybridise; ask about the particular offer before planning a breeding group.
