Care at a Glance
Scientific Name
Zoramia leptacantha
Threadfin Cardinalfish (Zoramia leptacantha) is a distinctive marine cardinalfish with a delicate, translucent appearance. This social species is known for forming groups and is best considered for a mature, stable saltwater aquarium with compatible tank mates and sheltered areas around rockwork.
Quick facts
- Scientific name: Zoramia leptacantha
- Common name: Threadfin Cardinalfish
- Type: Marine cardinalfish
- Social behaviour: Group-forming species
Aquarium care
Plan the aquarium around stable marine water conditions, suitable filtration and enough space for the fish to settle without competition from aggressive tank mates. Introduce new livestock carefully and watch feeding, breathing and behaviour during the first week.
Feeding
Offer appropriately sized marine foods in sensible portions and make sure every fish is feeding. Avoid overfeeding, and maintain good water quality as part of the normal care routine.
Before ordering
Check your aquarium size, water stability and existing livestock compatibility before purchase. Natural colour and appearance can vary between individual fish. Livestock is packed for tracked UK delivery with live-arrival support.
