Spadetail and Spotted Checkerboard are both used for the Dicrossus maculatus offers here. Compare their actual size and sale details rather than assuming the two listings supply identical fish. The filamentosus offer is a different named species; the shared checkerboard pattern does not make all three offers interchangeable.

Compare the selected species’ requirements with measured pH and hardness, and consider how you will prepare replacement water consistently. Published breeding conditions are not automatic instructions to acidify an aquarium. Small body size does not remove the need for an established filter, stable conditions and usable floor space with cover and retreats.

Ask which foods the current fish take. Have suitable small frozen or live foods ready where needed, and do not rely on a general dry-food promise for every offer.
