Laetacara

Flag Acara and the red-breasted forms have their own water guidance. Use the exact listing alongside your measured conditions, rather than assigning one care range to the whole genus. Avoid boisterous or aggressive companions that can dominate these smaller cichlids. Published species records report Red Breasted Cichlid to 8 cm total length and Laetacara thayeri to 12 cm total length; smaller supplied sizes are not adult limits. Match adult space and breeding territories to the intended fish and social arrangement.

The Flag Acara listing supplies individual fish without a sex guarantee. Decide whether to keep one fish or attempt a monitored pair before buying more than one. Green and red describe separate Red Breasted Cichlid offers; neither colour label establishes the sex or compatibility of the fish supplied.
