The Banded jaculatrix offer and freshwater Blyth’s blythii offer remain separate choices. Check identity and current holding water before preparing the aquarium; a shared Toxotes or brackish-directory label is not a salinity recipe. In particular, do not add salt to a freshwater species simply because another archerfish requires brackish conditions.

Plan the adult aquarium, secure cover and access to appropriate foods near the surface. Observe what the selected fish accepts rather than buying it only to watch water-shooting behaviour. Assess group interactions and the risk to smaller companions; a delivery grade describes the offer, not its eventual housing needs.
