A Hawk needs room to hunt and turn
Aristochromis christyi is a substantial fish-eating Malawi cichlid. Its adult swimming and turning space matters more than the small grade being offered. Small fish can become prey; choose companions for their adult size and behaviour, with retreats and a way to separate incompatible animals.

The Red-Top Trematocranus offer retains the supplier’s Aristochromis lombardoi trade name. Its listing does not claim a confirmed described species. Keep that distinction when asking about adult care or comparing it with Otopharynx lithobates, also sold under a Red-Top Trematocranus name.
