Editorial image use and permission

This notice applies to editorial illustrations and diagrams that link here from a Tropical Fish Co article or buying guide. The nearby credit and caption explain the individual image.

What the images show

Some illustrations are generated with AI and reviewed against source references. Diagrams explain the subject using original text and shapes. An editorial illustration is not a photograph of our current sale stock. It cannot establish an individual animal’s identity, sex, size, health, lineage or origin.

Using an image elsewhere

We do not offer an open reuse licence for our editorial illustrations or diagrams through this notice. Please contact Tropical Fish Co to request permission, including the page URL, the image and your intended use. Permission must be agreed before reuse; this notice itself grants none.

Our credit identifies the editorial creator or commissioning organisation. It is not a claim that every element of an AI-generated image qualifies for exclusive copyright protection.

Source photographs and other images

Where a source photograph requires attribution, its photographer, source and licence are credited beside the adapted illustration. That source licence remains separate. We do not claim the source photographer’s rights or change any rights that licence already gives you.

Product-listing photographs, supplier photographs, logos and images carrying a different credit are outside this notice. Check their own rights holder and terms before reuse.
